Singapore International Jewelry Expo 2013

Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend. And being a lady myself, I couldn't agree more with this statement. Frankly speaking, I always like Jewellery because these accessories can complement and lift one’s outfits. That is why I am excited to attend Singapore International Jewelry Expo 2013 at Marina Bay Sands in Early July this year.

More about the Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SIJE) 2013

Description: It is the Largest Jewelry Event in Singapore which features 223 exhibitors from 26 countries spanning 7,700 square meters.

Features: It showcases

the largest collection of diamonds and rare, natural gemstones in Singapore.
more than 30 exhibitors from Italy since they are renowned for its jewelry craftsmanship and design.
42 jewelers from Hong Kong – Asia’s hub for fine jewelry.

Special Highlights:

An exceptionally rare violet-blue stunner, the largest natural tanzanite ever showcased here in Singapore and South East Asia.

This 118-carat beauty is priced at more than S$1 million and have be showcased by DeGem (Singapore) throughout the 4 days of exhibition. Tanzanites are 1000 times rarer than diamonds and this particular piece’s violet-blue hue makes it beyond rare.

A rare 107-carat astonishing, fancy coloured diamond at DeGem.

The soft cushion shape of this magnificent jewel is enhanced by its rich, champagne colour that sparkles brilliantly as the diamond turns. Certified by GIA to have exceptional clarity, this is the largest champagne colour diamond ever reported in South East Asia.

Other than these 2 rare gemstone pieces, I have also taken some photos of other astounding jewellery pieces as well. Check out the photos below.

Personally, I notice that there are a lot of jewellery pieces which feature the design of a snake, probably because 2013 is the year of the snake. I am not a great fan of this cold blooded animal exactly but I admit that the jewellery designs are quite impressive.

Overall, I do have a lovely time at this exhibition and I seriously hope that I will be able to own one of these classic exotic pieces one day.
